Much of the research conducted at the GPVEC is aimed at concepts that can be applied to improve the efficiency and profitability of the livestock producer. This includes analysis of production records and management factors associated with productivity for cow-calf production; diagnostic techniques and epidemiology of disease in feedlot production; management of bovine disease caused by the interactions of host, pathogen, and environment in beef cattle production; and the association and interaction of management factors in production and profitability of swine production.
